L-Glutathione Benefits at a Glance:
L-glutathione is found in every cell in the body, but is concentrated up to 10 times higher in liver cells. It’s known as the “master” antioxidant because it’s involved in every aspect of health – not just liver detoxification. It plays a role in cardiovascular function, cell metabolism, sleep regulation, digestive health, immunity, reducing inflammation levels, protecting cells from damage, DNA synthesis, helping your body recover after an illness, and the list goes on.
Glutathione is one of the only antioxidants the body produces in the liver. It’s been shown to improve liver function in those with alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, as well as potentially lessen symptoms in those with autoimmune conditions by reducing oxidative stress. Since liver health is directly linked to skin health, glutathione may also support the appearance of skin and inflammatory skin conditions.
Why It’s Included
L-glutathione is involved in virtually every function of the body – which makes it a top go-to nutrient to keep your system at peak performance. Reduced glutathione is the active (opposed to oxidized) form.
We use nano-liposomal L-glutathione in our products. This means it’s nano-sized (a tiny particle less than one micron) and can seamlessly enter the membranes through your mouth or skin and bypass the digestive process – which allows it to become up to 200 x more bioavailable.
Liposomal delivery further aids absorption by safeguarding L-glutathione from your body’s natural defenses, so it stays intact until being absorbed at the intended location.
